Welcome to e-Population ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy informs you how we look after your personal data when you use our application and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data. This application is a visualization tool for public demographic data. We do not require user accounts, login credentials, or personal information to use the core features of the app. To personalise the welcome screen, your country is estimated on your device from its time zone. It is stored only on your device and never sent to us.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymous usage data to improve application performance and user experience. This data does not identify individual users.
Geo-Tutor (AI Assistant)
When you use Geo-Tutor, the question you type and the name of the country you are viewing are sent to our server and forwarded to Google's Gemini API to generate an answer. We do not send your name, location, device identifiers, or any account information, and we do not store your questions. Google processes the request under its API terms. If you prefer not to share questions with a third party, simply do not use Geo-Tutor — every other feature works without it.
Third-Party Services
The app uses public data sources such as the United Nations World Population Prospects, the U.S. Census Bureau International Database, the International Monetary Fund World Economic Outlook, and Pew Research. These sources have their own privacy practices.
Children's Privacy
Our service is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
